Kettering Children’s Theatre’s Spring production, The Wizard of Oz, will be performed March 31 through April 9. Join Dorothy and Toto, plus their new friends the Lion, the Tin Man and the Scarecrow as they battle the Wicked Witch of the West all the way to the mysterious city of Oz. It’s Art on the Commons time again! Announcing a call for entries for this amazing, one-day fine arts festival. Artist entries will be accepted between January 1 and March 31 via Zapplication. The festival will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2017. Get all the details here.
2017 is Set in Stoneware: The Year of Clay, dedicated to all things ceramic art! The starring program of the year is a workshop to be given by artist Beth Cavener this April. PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITY: RFQs are being accepted from January 31 – March 31, 2017 for the Schantz Avenue Bridge Project! The City of Kettering CitySites Public Art Program is seeking artists, artist teams, designers or architects to design a site‐specific public artwork for the Schantz Avenue Bridge and the adjoining Dixie Highway corridor. Rosewood Arts Centre is a unique program and facility located in Kettering, Ohio. We are dedicated to enriching the quality of life for the residents of Kettering and the greater Dayton area by providing creative experiences through the arts. A division of the City of Kettering’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, Rosewood presents over 380 classes annually for youth and adults as well as gallery exhibitions, theater performances, artist studios and special events. With specialized facilities including a black and white darkroom, ceramics, glass and jewelry studios, the facility has over 100,000 visitors every year.
