Artist Workshops at Rosewood Arts Center
10:00am - 3:00pm
Saturday Oct. 26th
10am – 12pm workshop with Cara Lee Wade
Cara Lee Wade will lead a workshop creating Lumen Prints using darkroom photo paper, plants, and household organic materials. Lumen prints are a camera-less photo process that does not require special photographic equipment. Lumens use sunlight to expose and process organic objects onto black and white photo paper resulting in vibrant and unexpected colors.
1pm – 3pm workshop with Michael Reese
Michael Reese will lead a Cyanotype workshop based on his exhibition, Decoding Polaris, that will be on view at The Rosewood Arts Center Sept. 30th – Nov. 9th. Cyanotype is camera-less technique that involves laying an object on paper coated with a solution of iron salts before exposing it to UV light or sunlight. The cyanotype process creates striking blue and white images that show exquisite detail and color.
