Year-Round Temporary Part-Time

Want to stick around awhile and work with us year-round? Year-round part-time positions can work up to 28 hours per week.

Seasonal Part-Time

Interested in working with us up to 40 hours per week for a specific time period or season? The fixed length of a season is 6 months or less. Employees who work in a seasonal classification must have a 6 month break in service before working in another classification within the City of Kettering.

Regular Part-Time

Regular Part-Time positions follow the year round hours guidelines (up to 28 hours per week). Regular Part-Time position listings can be found on the City of Kettering’s Job Page.

The Sports & Fitness Team provides an honest, simple and friendly approach to wellness for all of our facility users. There are many roles you could play on our Sports & Fitness Team, such as assisting individuals of all ages to reach their fitness goals, offering opportunities for individual instruction, or getting involved in our team sports programs. Pee Wee Basketball
Sports Camp Team Member

This seasonal part-time position (up to 40 hours/week) leads active sports camps and delivers a quality, safe and enjoyable experience to campers and their families. The Sports Camp Team helps campers learn new sports skills, build on established skills and focus on teamwork as we keep them moving during summer break. Pay range: $8.55 - $9.25/hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate’s related skills, knowledge and abilities. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Gymnasium Staff

This year-round part-time position (up to 28 hours/week) oversees all activities that take place in the gymnasium and walking track area. Pay range is $8.55 - $9.25/hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate’s related skills, knowledge and abilities. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and have the ability to perform some physical tasks.

Sports Program Staff

This year-round part-time position (up to 28 hours/week) develops, coordinates and organizes sports activities at the Kettering Recreation Complex and other off-site locations. Sports staff will be active in a variety of sports programs including monitoring of gymnasiums, assisting with practices, troubleshooting during programs. Pay range: $8.55 - $9.55/hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate’s related skills, knowledge and abilities. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Adult Softball Site Supervisor

This year-round part-time position (up to 28 hours/week) is responsible for the on-site operations of the City of Kettering Adult Softball Leagues. The Adult Softball Site Supervisor will be active with teams and umpires as well as monitoring field conditions, answering questions, record-keeping, and troubleshooting. Pay range: $10.00 - $12.00/hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate’s related skills, knowledge and abilities. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
