Understanding our Job Categories

Interested in working with us up to 40 hours per week for a specific time period or season? The fixed length of a season is 6 months or less. Employees who work in a seasonal classification must have a 6 month break in service before working in another classification within the City of Kettering.

Want to stick around awhile and work with us year-round? Year-round part-time positions can work up to 28 hours per week.

The Sports & Fitness Team provides an honest, simple and friendly approach to wellness for all of our facility users.  As a member of the Sports and Fitness Team you will be responsible for assisting individuals of all ages to reach their fitness goals and offering opportunities for individual instruction as well as team sports. Current Sports and Fitness Team Opportunities

Play all day as you lead Sports Summer Camps, Clinics and Special Events. Responsibilities Include: leading single or multiple camps and delivering a quality, safe and enjoyable experience to campers and their families. Wages: $8.75/hr – $10.55/hr

This Year-Round Part Time position is responsible for overseeing all activities that take place in the gymnasium and walking track area. Pay range is $8.30 – $9.25 per hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate’s related skills, knowledge, and abilities. Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age and have the ability to perform some physical tasks.

Position is responsible for developing, coordinating and organizing recreational activities. Pay range: $8.30-$9.55 per hour. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Assists with daily operation and implementation of youth basketball leagues for the City of Kettering -Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department. Primary duties will consist of practice and game site supervision at various offsite school gymnasium locations and the Kettering Recreation Complex. Must be at least 18 years of age. Pay range between $13.00- $17.00 per hour. Entry rate is contingent upon candidate’s related skills, knowledge, and abilities.
