We’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on dedicated member, Lisa Meyerhoeffer! Lisa first joined our group fitness classes at the Kettering Recreation Complex back in 2017 and hasn’t looked back!
From Habit to Mental Health Boost: Lisa initially fell in love with cycle classes, then branched out to Boot Camp and many others, eventually finding her core fitness group. She emphasizes how working out is not just for physical fitness but also essential for her mental health. “My life is so busy but I make time to show up, work hard, sweat it out and share some smiles and laughs with good people.”
Finding Her Balance: Lisa has learned the importance of listening to her body, modifying her routine and incorporating stretching to protect against injury. She understands that fitness is a work in progress and has shifted her class choices to better suit her body’s needs.
The Power of Community: For Lisa, the group classes are everything! “I have a great group of friends whom keep me motivated and accountable… I consider some of these women my closest friends.” She loves the variety of top-notch instructors and the collective energy that fuels their workouts.
Lisa’s Encouragement to YOU: “I would encourage any person at any fitness level to consider taking exercise classes. They’re challenging however everyone can workout at their own level and we are all here to help and cheer you on!” She highlights the vast opportunity at the Rec Center—from classes and the fitness center to the pool and ice rink.
Thank you, Lisa, for being such a welcoming and inspiring part of our fitness family!
