About the Splash Pad

kids at splash padThe farm-themed splash pad in J.F. Kennedy Park, adjacent to Polen Farm, includes both small and large water play features including water cannons, multiple spray features and tall water dumping buckets. Two picnic shelters near the splash pad provide convenient locations for picnics or rest periods. The playground alongside the splash pad is also farm themed with a soft surface and encourages active play with multiple climbing features, slides, swings, ladders and more.

The splash pad is free and open seven days a week, May through September.   It is conveniently located at 5073 Bigger Road, close enough to ride a bike or walk. The Kennedy Park shelters are available on a first-come first-served basis only and cannot be reserved.

To ensure you have an enjoyable experience, please review our Splash Pad Policies and Procedures prior to visiting.

At this time, due to the current State of Ohio and Public Heath-Dayton and Montgomery County guidelines, we are not reserving the splash pad for events or parties to begin the season.

Group and Organization Use of the Splash Pad

All groups must register and their visit be approved prior to using the splash pad.

All groups or organizations of 10 or more must fill out a Splash Pad Registration Form below. This form must be completed at least one week in advance of the planned visit. The purpose of this form is to ensure all users have a pleasant experience. The form assists in preventing multiple groups from arriving at the splash pad during the same time periods.

  • Groups of 10 or more are limited to a 2-hour stay at the splash pad per visit, 10-12:00 or 12-2:00
  • The splash pad will not be available for groups of 10 or more between the hours of 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • Groups of 10 or more may be asked to leave by park representatives if they have not registered at the Park Maintenance office.
  • There is no bus parking in the splash pad parking lots. Space is limited with many different activities in the park besides the splash pad.
  • Groups will be assisted with locations for bus parking when they fill out their registration.
  • Splash pad shelters may not be reserved--they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To ensure you have an enjoyable experience, please review our Splash Pad Policies and Procedures prior to visiting.
