Pool Rules and Water Safety
Main Pool Rules
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
- Children under 7 years old and all patrons in floatation devices must be within an arm’s length of an adult when in the water.
- Please obey all lifeguards and their rules.
- Kettering Recreation Complex is a family-friendly facility; Appropriate language and/or swim attire is required.
- Kettering Recreation Complex is not responsible for lost or stolen items; Patrons are encouraged to use onsite lockers located in the locker rooms to store personal items.
- All clothing and diaper changes must occur in locker rooms located in the pool hallway.
- Swim diapers are required for babies or swimmers incontinent and/or not toilet trained.
- Diving is only permitted o the diving board (see diving board rules).
- All of the following are prohibited:
• Hanging on lane lines
• Public display of affection
• Use of alcohol, tobacco, vapes, or drugs
• Glass containers, food, or gum
• Running, rough play, or inappropriate behavior
• Urinating, defecating, spitting, or blowing nose in the pool - Flotation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard approved.
- Pool lift is available for entry into water upon request.
- Service animals are permitted on pool deck.
- Showering prior to entering the pool area is recommended.
- People with infectious diseases, excessive sunburns, or unhealed abrasions
cannot enter the water. - Immunocompromised individuals should use caution when using public swimming pools.
