Want to stick around awhile and work with us year-round? Year-round part-time positions can work up to 28 hours per week.

Regular Part-Time positions follow the year round hours guidelines (up to 28 hours per week). Regular Part-Time position listings can be found on the City of Kettering’s Job Page.

Interested in working with us up to 40 hours per week for a specific time period or season? The fixed length of a season is 6 months or less. Employees who work in a seasonal classification must have a 6 month break in service before working in another classification within the City of Kettering.

The Facility Operations Team is responsible for providing service to our visitors and oversight of Kettering Parks and associated facilities.  As a member of the Facility Operations Team you will support many department functions and are integral to customer satisfaction in the department. The Facility Operations Team also supports a robust array of community programs, services & events.

Current Facility Operations Team Opportunities

Fitness Specialists use specialized experience and training to ensure quality in all areas of the fitness center. Must be CPR and First Aid Certified. Must have strong interpersonal skills, and be customer service oriented. Competitive pay.

Babysitters oversee the nursery at the Kettering Recreation Complex. Must be CPR and First Aid certified. Must work well with children. Competitive pay.

Recreation Aides are responsible for assisting with recreation programs and facility operations. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Competitive pay.

This Temporary Part-Time Clerk position will provide a consistent level of customer service and office support when the Full-Time Secretary is not in the office. This position may also be asked to provide backup support at the other PRCA facilities as needed. Competitive pay. Must have good knowledge of office clerical practices, procedures and filing systems, and good computer, word processing and data entry skills. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively with staff, City officials and the general public.
