Financial Assistance Program

Thanks to the Kettering Parks Foundation, financial assistance for recreation programs is available to families in need. Families can qualify for up to $400 to help remove the financial barriers of participating in programs.

Steps for Applying for and Receiving Assistance

To receive financial assistance, the recipient must:

  •  Be a resident of the City of Kettering
  • Meet eligibility requirements below
  • Have not submitted a request during the calendar year
  • Applicant must indicate what programs and/or passes they are interested in on the application form

Awards will be granted on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Need is determined through the number of persons in the household and the total household income.

Applicants are required to complete a Financial Assistance Application and submit to the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Administrative Offices (3600 Shroyer Road)  along with their most recent federal tax return or other documentation of income

PRCA Staff will review the application and determine eligibility and maximum award. Staff will then register applicant for programs and/or passes and either pay full balance using financial assistance funds or leave a balance due for the applicant to pay within one week.

Applicants will be notified by mail or phone. *Please note that refunds will not be given for classes or passes paid by financial assistance funds.*

Financial Assistance applications are being accepted now! Please be aware that assistance is typically awarded in April of each year and consider this when making a request.
