Kettering Arts Council Spotlight: Laura Arber

Posted on October 9, 2018

Laura has served on the Kettering Arts Council for three years. She is not an artist, but she loves art and believes art makes the world a better place, be it a mural on the concrete wall, the landscape in an art museum, or a picture colored by her nephew.

Laura is a ‘wannabe’ athlete – she runs, bikes, and does yoga. She started taking piano lessons as an adult. She likes to travel, and last year went to Zion and Bryce National Parks. One of her favorite events is ‘A Rosewood Holiday Arts Festival’. The community gets to meet the artists, see their studios, see demos, and eat soup. She is excited about the presentation KAC created- ‘The Art Road Show’ – because she has had the opportunity to present to groups and share with them the many creative things going on in the community and show how the arts make Kettering a premier city to call home.
